The town of Early is located in Sac County. Early has a population of 605 people as of the last census. There are four churches and a high school that serves the Early, Nemaha and Schaller communites with the younger grades attending school in Schaller.

Early was first platted two and one-half miles south of its current location in 1878, then moved to the current location in 1882. See the Town History page for the story.
